Pleasley Stags Fundraisers 2009/10

  1. Fund raising & events.

During an eventful first year, Pleasley Stags hosted and arranged a variety of different events, here you can find a run down of what's gone on in the past 12 months.

  • July 2009 saw the launch night of Pleasley Stags hosted at The White Swan, Pleasley. Approximately 80 people came to the event, which saw 3 out of the 4 owners, Andy Perry, Andy Saunders & Steve Hymas take a Question and Answers session from the fans in attendance. A great night for all involved, capped with an auction which helped to raise a substantial amount of money with various different prizes including some generous donations from MTFC. Also, the Pleasley Stag Mascot was finally given a name after vote from the attendees, an overwhelming show of support for one particular suggestion saw the birth of 'Elvis Pleasley' (see picture below). The event was sponsored by Oak Tree Motor Homes.

  • Pleasley Stags T-Shirts were made and sold from behind the bars in the different Pleasley Pubs.

  • Members were involved in a Pleasley pub crawl to raise the profile of the supporters club.

  • December 2009 and it was the first ever Pleasley Stags Christmas event. An Elvis Tribute act saw over 150 people attend the event at Pleasley Miners Welfare. A fantastic turnout and an even better night, it was fun for all the family with a variety of fund raising activities going on during the night.

  • The Nags Head was host to a Pool and Dominoes competition.

  • Lakeside Leisure was host to the first Pleasley Stags Race Night. Owners Steve Hymas & Andy Saunders were in attendance, along with players Blair Sturrock & Ryan Williams. Steve Hymas treated us to his own version of 'The Wonder of You' on the microphone and the final race of the night was auctioned with prize money rising to over £100.

  • A sincere thanks goes to the following for sponsoring Pleasley Stags in our first year...
