- Pleasley Stags kicked off the 2010/11 Season with a pre-season event and fundraiser at Pleasley Miners Welfare. Abba tribute bang 'Abba Fever' were chosen as the entertainment for what was a fantastic night all around. over 140 people packed into the welfare and danced through until the early hours.
- Sunday the 1st of November saw Pleasley Stags host a gentlemans afternoon at the Lakeside pub. A blue comedian and his two very talented assistants took to the stage in order to entertain the 60+ strong crowd that had paid the entrance fee for the afternoon.
First of all, comedian Joe King entertained the crowd with some witty one liners, whilst also having constant digs at those filthy Spireites! (If they smartened up a bit, they'd make good tramps!)
After his 45 minute set, Joe stepped aside to let his two assistants do the entertaining whilst also getting the crowd involved, it's safe to say that the temperature certainly rose in the room, especially when they were eating fire!
A great afternoon was had by all and Pleasley Stags made a nice little profit that all goes along way towards helping the Stags!
